Aim: To host a professional and enjoyable National Secondary Schools’ Kapa Haka Competition

Objectives:  

  1. To encourage and promote participation and the pursuit of excellence in kapa haka.
  2. To ensure all kapa perform in an optimum environment in regards to lighting, sound, staging and atmosphere.
  3. To promote the awareness, importance and appreciation of kapa haka.
  4. To provide a professional development component for teachers and tutors of kapa haka. 

WHAT: Kapa Haka Kura Tuarua, Whakataetae-ā-Motu.
WHEN:   27-30 July, 2010 (Term 3, Week 2; Tuesday to Friday).
WHERE: Rotorua Energy Events Centre, Government Gardens, Rotorua.
